This page is dedicated to local news and events. I don’t pretend to know everything that is going on in Kinghorn, but where I come across bits and pieces of news that seem interesting and relevant then I’ll post them here.

After two years, 38,000 miles, four continents and a large number of improvised motorcycle spare parts, Mick McMillan (actually a native of Burntisland) returns to his home in Kinghorn.

Beachwatch 2009 Spring Clean

There was a good turnout for the Marine Conservation Society’s “Beachwatch 2009” clean. Despite the freezing cold weather. Volunteers turned up some very impressive items of rubbish. I got my best wellies on and toddled down there to see what I could find. more>>


A small group of travellers who had set up camp at Kinghorn Loch have left the site after they were served with an eviction notice. Before they left (and following an “emergency community council meeting”)  I popped round to see what all the fuss was about. more>>

Exhibition success for local artists

Nine local artists pooled their considerable talents to put on another excellent show at the Community Centre. It was on for a whole week with artists in attendance throughout. I put together a little page here by way of thanks. more>>
